Think Twice Before Buying the Galaxy S23; Cheap Flagship-Grade Phone Will Debut Soon!
The Samsung Galaxy S23 is just about two weeks away. It, along with the S23 Ultra and Plus, will launch on February 1. As we already know a lot about the phone from the recent leaks, many are planning to upgrade to it.
In fact, a lot made early reservations for the upcoming S23 flagship from Samsung. Well, if you are one of them, you might be making a mistake.
According to the latest rumor, the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE will launch alongside the Galaxy S23. Now, yes, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE did not make any sense on paper. It was not a good deal when you compared it with the Galaxy S22. Many even acted like it didn't exist. But things will be different for the FE series in 2023.
The Galaxy S22 FE Could Threaten the Samsung Galaxy S23
We have had a lot of rumors stating that the Galaxy S21 FE was the last Fan Edition from Samsung. But towards the end of 2022, the rumor about Samsung quietly working on the Galaxy S22 FE emerged. And it pointed out that the FE might not be dead at all.
The leakster OreXda on Twitter told us to hold our breath for the Galaxy S22 FE. And there have been rumors that the device might launch alongside the Galaxy S23. In other words, in the Galaxy Unpacked event of February 1, you might see four new devices come out.
Even if Samsung does not launch the Galaxy S22 FE alongside the Galaxy S23, it will debut on Unpacked Part 2. And it is a different event that is soon planned by Samsung after the S23 series launch.
All That We Know About the Galaxy S22 FE
- Galaxy S22 FE will replace the Galaxy A7X phones. Samsung will ditch the high-end A series mid-range phone for 2023.
- The Galaxy S22 FE might be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is last year's chipset. Samsung might debut it with Exynos 2200. The decision will depend on whether Samsung has piles of the 2200s lying around.
- Galaxy S22 FE will come with Samsung 108MP ISOCELL HM6 primary sensor. It is said to have support for up to 8K 24 FPS video recording. And it will support 9-to-1 pixel-binning and PD autofocus.
- The Galaxy S22 FE is now set to be the very last "Fan Edition" phone that Samsung will launch. Multiple leaksters have told us not to expect a Galaxy S23 FE, which means the S22 FE will be the last of its kind.
Galaxy S22 FE Could Easily Become the Best-Value Android Phone in 2023
I know it's too early to hold expectations such as this one. However, if Samsung puts a fair price on the Galaxy S22 FE, it will sell like hotcakes. Many planned to get the "boringly perfect" Galaxy S23 will indeed get a better value than the S22 FE. And not to mention the fact that the S21 FE made excellent sales.
Yes, even though it did not make any sense on paper, the S21 FE was arguably the best Android flagship phone when it came to sheer value. And the resale and discounts made things even better for the S21 FE.
Now, as the Galaxy S22 FE is replacing the A74 this year, it could be priced as low as $500. And if Pixel 7a is not much of a threat to it, the phone can sell better than the standard Galaxy S23.
