As you are all aware Chinese phone makers have fully embraced the 5-inch + screen market, leaving very little choice for smaller quad-core phones. Luckily there are a few and they are available at great prices.
The start of this year has seen a flood of Chinese Android phones with ever-increasing screen sizes, but what about for those of us who don’t want huge screen phones but still want the benefit of a quad-core processor.
Thankfully there are a few options available such as the recently launched JiaYu G3S and THL W100. Both phones come with smaller 4.5-inch displays and both are powered by a 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 processor and 1GB RAM.
The JiaYu G3S is the updated quad-core version of last years dual-core JiaYu G3 and features the same great 720p HD display, and 8 mega-pixel main camera as the older phone but with the faster quad-core CPU and updated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. If you are after something a little more modern and more affordable the THL W100 is a great 4.5-inch quad-core option too.
