The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is making appearances on multiple certification websites, hinting at its imminent launch. Earlier this month, the first key details about the much-awaited Mi Band 6 successor surfaced online. The Mi Band series of fitness trackers from Xiaomi continues to garner popularity globally. This skyrocketing adulation is due to the fitness band's excellent features. Aside from that, these Xiaomi fitness trackers are easy on the pocketbook.

Last year, the Chinese tech firm announced the Mi Band 6 for several markets including India. Now, it looks like the company's next-gen band dubbed, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is headed to the market soon. Moreover, the upcoming smart wearable has already started passing through important certification websites before going official. Details about the battery capacity of the Mi Band 7 have popped up online courtesy of the Indonesia telecom website and the SGS-CEBEC listing.

Notably, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 carries the same model number M2129B1 on the Belgium SGS-CEBEC and the Indonesia telecom websites. Furthermore, the listing suggests that the upcoming fitness band will draw its juices from a 250mAh battery. Interestingly, the charging base is listed on the database with model number XMCDQ05HM. To recall, a 125mAh battery unit powers up the current Mi Band 6.

Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Acquires Multiple Certifications

So, it appears that Xiaomi will be increasing the battery capacity of the upcoming Mi Band 7. As a result, the smart band will be capable of offering a longer battery life. Regrettably, the listing does not shed any light on other key details of the upcoming fitness band. However, an earlier report by XDA Developers suggests that the Mi Band 7 could sport a larger display than its predecessor. To recall, the Mi Band 6 features a 1.56-inch AMOLED display.

Aside from that, the display of the Mi Band 7 will reportedly offer 192 x 490-pixel resolution. It will also support an always-on display functionality. Also, it will boast an impressive array of cloud-based watch faces. However, the most notable feature of the impending fitness band is the presence of in-built GPS. In other words, users will be able to track activities such as walking and running without requiring their smartphones.

To recall, Band 6’s firmware had previously indicated that it will support built-in GPS. However, the feature was missing in the final product. Further, the fitness band will have a Smart Alarm feature. This feature will ensure the user wakes up from light sleep half an hour ahead of their predefined alarm. Lastly, the new fitness band's Power Savings mode can extend the battery life. Also, the band is likely to hit the store shelves in China first.
