Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 which was launched alongside Redmi Note 5 Pro failed to maintain it’s popularity like its predecessor - the Redmi Note 4 - and now the company has decided to take the device off from all platforms.
According to 91mobiles, a couple of weeks ago Xiaomi had already started removing the Note 5 listings from its official website and offline Mi stores. One of the reasons the device did not get the taste of success is because Redmi Note 5 Pro was introduced by the company which is comparatively much better at every aspect than the toned down Note 5. Although Xiaomi gave a last try to boost the phone’s sales with the release of the latest Redmi Note 6 Pro but it did not changed anything. Moreover, the Note 5 Pro was tipped to get a discount with the launch of Redmi Note 6 Pro, unfortunately, that never took place. Redmi Note 5 Pro is still carrying a price tag of Rs 12,999.
To recall, Note 5 sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display addressing 1080x2160 pixels resolution with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and comes in two variants of 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The handset is fueled with a hefty 4,000mAh battery.
The Redmi Note 5 boasts a 12MP of rear camera and at front, it features a 5MP selfie shooter. The phone carried a price a tag of Rs 9,999 for 3GB RAM /32GB internal storage and the other 4GB RAM/ 64GB had a price of Rs 11,999.
