Although the Motorola Xoom comes as standard with a micro SD card slot, Motorola in all their wisdom disabled the hardware from allowing users to read and write media files too, meaning you we’re limited to the built in 32Gb of storage.
However thanks to developers over at the XDA-Developers forum, users of rooted Motorola Xooms can now enable the missing feature by way of a custom kernel.
This mean Xoom users can now easily bump storage of their Honeycomb Tablets to a whopping 64Gb, IF your Xoom is rooted that is!
For those who don’t want to root their tablet or aren’t comfortable with the process, rumor has it that Motorola will soon launch an official update which will bring the function to the tablet natively.
