The Xiaomi Mi4 has served as the inspiration for a handful of other smartphones which are now entering the market. Of them allthe Zealplus M4 is by far the cheapest.
If you don’t remember Zeaplus then it is because the brand are rather new and so far haven’t a single, physical device to put to their name, but they do have some big ideas which involves launching low-cost smartphones based on fan favourites.
The Zeaplus M4, a phone which obviously comes from the same factory as the Elephone P4000, Doogee DG850 and No.1 Mi4, is their first phone which they plan to launch for less than $100.
According to the Zeaplus website the M4 will come with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display, alloy body, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, 2 mega-pixel front and Android 4.4 Kitkat. Rather than going for an octacore chip the M4 has a quad-core MT6582, and there doesn’t seem to be any LTE.
Although I’m not a fan of clones, the Zeaplus does have some standout features, alloy body, Gorilla Glass display, SD card, 720p resolution, which at $99 will make a lot of sense to buyers.
What do you make of the Zeaplus? Is it a phone you could live with?
