Chinese phone maker Zopo are rumoured to be readying updates for their current range of quad-core phones to the next generation 8-core MT6593 processor.
Zopo’s completed line of Android smartphones runs on the Mediatek processor line-up, and like other brands out there they are quick to updated phones to the latest and greatest chipset offerings. Earlier this year we saw most of the Zopo range updated from dual to quad-core MT6589 chips, and we can expect a similar updated to 8-core in the coming months.
It is believed that the introduction of 8-core Mediatek processors will begin with the Zopo C7, a 6-inch1080 phablet, but we can also expect 8-core chips to make their way in to the Zopo ZP980, Zopo C2, Zopo C3 and many other current phones.
