Nubia Watch will hit global markets in October

The market for smart wearables is becoming really competitive this year. Apparently, this niche of devices is finally becoming mainstream achieving a huge amount of users across different pricing segments. We saw the arrival of multiple companies in this segment, while others are focusing on expanding their business to keep a good margin of users. Worth noting, that the market of wearables comprising smartwatches, smart bands, and even TWS hearables was one of the few segments to not suffer a great impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. Nubia recently released its Nubia Watch on Kickstarter and the campaign was quite successful, the company now announced that backers will be getting their units on October 8. They may be the first t get the wearable, but Nubia will also open general sales in the next month.

While we don't have an exact date, we know that potential buyers will be able to purchase it until the end of October. The official price of the Nubia Watch is $400, however, those who backed it on Kickstarter will be getting it for as little as $200. Worth noting that this is for the customers outside of Chine. On its stronghold, the company has the Nubia Watch available for $220. While it seems to be a good price, the global variants certainly will be much costlier than that.

NUBIA WATCH FEATURES

Nubia unveiled the Nubia Watch on July 28 and it's a good smartwatch with a unique look and interesting features.

The Nubia Watch is priced at 1799 yuan ($257). It seems to be much for a smartwatch. But we are not dealing with a regular smartwatch. This device has a very futuristic look and options. Let’s get acquainted with its biggest highlights.

The Nubia Watch sports a 4.01-inch flexible AMOLED screen. It’s a standalone smartwatch, which means you can make calls without pairing with a smartphone. But it comes with an eSIM support. Apart from this, there are various sports and health detection functions. Plus, it supports Alipay mobile payment.

The body of the Nubia Watch is made of multiple materials and processes. Particularly, it adopts a customized ceramics and 316L stainless steel.

Officially, this watch is equipped with a customized exclusive system. In terms of battery life, the wearable has a battery-saving mode, which lasts 6.5 days. But if using heavily, it will last for 36 hours. This watch comes in 3 colors. The picture above is the armor green color.
