Red Magic 8 Pro gets 3C certification with 165W fast-charging

Nubia does not want to give any rest to its Red Magic series. The Nubia Red Magic 7 series is done and the company is moving to the next big thing - the Red Magic 8 series. Today, the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro was posted at China's Compulsory 3C certification. The phone passed by the website with 165W fast charging. The phone will likely launch alongside a vanilla variant, and we expect the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to be at the helm.

The Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro passed by the popular 3C website with model number NX729J. The listing reveals that the gaming phone will support a whopping fast 165W fast-charging straight out of the box. Worth noting, that the phone also passed by TENAA MIIT certification. It confirms 5G connectivity. But come on, who could guess otherwise? Moving on, the phone also got its Bluetooth SIG approval confirming Bluetooth 5.2 support.

Unfortunately, most of the Red Magic 8 Pro details are still a mystery. It has impressive 165W fast charging, but we don't know its battery capacity. The display specs and the camera specs are also not available. We expect them to appear soon, but we don't know if this phone will appear early this year.

Again, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is likely an obvious choice for this phone. We can't discard a possible variant with Dimensity 9200 chip, but the Pro will undoubtedly bring Qualcomm's offering. The SoC brings revamped specs with a big core clocked at 3.2 GHz, four performance cores at 2.8 GHz, and three efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz. The GPU supports ray tracing and that certainly is one of the main appeals for the Red Magic 8 Pro. It's a gaming phone, that will come to offer the best possible experience for games. For now, there aren't games on the Play Store with ray-tracing support, but that may change soon.
