OnePlus teases OnePlus Nord N10 5G ahead of October 15 event

Two months ago, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus Nord as its first mid-range smartphone since the controversial OnePlus X. The OnePlus Nord is a competitive smartphone bringing 5G capabilities thanks to the Snapdragon 765G and powerful camera setup with OIS. Something that is not common among mid-range devices. However, there was a specific fact in OnePlus Nord that made some users discontent. It is quite limited in availability. For instance, users in the United States couldn't get one. Since the Nord release, and even before, we started to see leaks and rumors pointing to the existence of a mid-range variant with Snapdragon 690 5G SoC. This is Qualcomm's mid-range 5G chipset with a lower price tag than the SD765G. Everything was pointing to a release of a new variant in Q4 2020. Today, with the hype growing for the OnePlus 8T, the company is finally ready to tease its new OnePlus Nord.

OnePlus Nord N10 5G specifications

According to all the rumors and leaks so far, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G flaunts a 6.49-inch FHD+ Display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone will carry Qualcomm's Snapdragon 690 5G chipset along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage. On the camera department, it will bring a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle shooter, and two 2MP snappers.

For now, the other specifications are still unknown. According to leaks, the price tag will be under $400. So we believe that OnePlus is cutting some corners here and there. The device is likely targeting the Pixel 4a and the iPhone SE 2020 in the United States. For now, we don't know if the company will make this a US exclusive or will bring it to more markets.

OnePlus' next big event will happen on October 14 and October 15 in China. We'll probably hear a lot about the company's upcoming products in the next days. So stay tuned.
