According to a new report, the Oppo Reno 10 series will reach the Indian market soon. Yes, you've read it right! Oppo will skip the recently-released Oppo Reno 9 series in India.
Oppo Reno 10 series coming to India
To those unaware, Oppo took the wraps off its Oppo Reno 9 series in late November in China. The lineup was composed of the Oppo Reno 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro+. The latest device was a cost-effective flagship with an underclocked Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The specs were quite good, and it's strange to see Oppo will skip these devices in its second-largest market. Anyway, we have 80% sure that this alleged "Oppo Reno 10 series" in India will bring rebranded phones. The last 20% is for a scenario where Oppo launches entirely new smartphones. The chances are small, but it wouldn't be a first for the brand.
An intriguing part of this report is that we've seen leaks pointing to an Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ handset. The leak revealed a new design language for the upcoming phone, one design that sets it apart from the Reno 9 series. Is that new design going official in India next month? We don't think so.
For now, the possibilities are open. The new design could come only with a Reno 11 series, or perhaps with China's Oppo Reno 10 series. Right now, it's hard to speculate. We just hope that it does not end up in a big mess of different names and variants for China and India.
The leaked info points to the launch of the new phones in February in India. If it's a rebranded 9 series, then this alleged Indian Oppo Reno 10 series will bring Snapdragon 778G, Dimensity 8100, and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Other specs include fast-charging support, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and capable cameras. Obviously, Oppo will begin a teaser campaign ahead of any release. So, let's digest this report with a pinch of salt, at least for now.
Pro+ Alleged specifications
If the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ is just a rebranded 9 Pro+, then we know what it will bring. It starts with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB/256GB. The phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it has a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP main camera with OIS, 8 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The phone draws power from a 4,700 mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
