Video : OUKITEL WP5000 power consumption test
In this fast-paced world one would definitely need a rugged smartphone, which can be quite invincible when it comes to environmental distress paired with a long-lasting battery and very affordable price. The OUKITEL WP5000 is a 5200mAh battery smartphone with waterproof, dust-proof and shock proof qualities. And the battery endurance can be quite great too, at least the makers are saying that to us in the following power consumption test video.
As seen in the video, a half an hour phone call takes less than 1% power, a 30-minute downloaded video playing takes up only 3% power. Thus, when hiking or cycling, this phone can support up to 16 hours and 40-minute worth of listening to music since this could last a day of heavy usage.
The video also tested torch support time with screen on, it could support continuous 8 hours 40 minutes flash light. With screen off, it will support longer than this. As for the GPS navigation, under brightest screen and highest volume, 50-minute GPS navigation takes away 12% power. So if you drive continuously, it could support 7 hours high speed GPS navigation service. If you just put it there for standby, it might even last for a week.
As the proper rugged phone OUKITEL WP5000 of course has the IP68 certification and can survive 1.5m under water for half an hour of fall from 1.5m height. They are also trying to offer some good looking design to differ from the usual utilitaristic rugged phone designs. As for the hardware it packs for example Helio P25 procesor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, 21MP rear camera or 13MP front selfie camera.
According to OUKITEL, global first presale for WP5000 will start on April 17th with the official price at $299.99. But you can already subscribe on their website to get a discount coupon code for this new rugged beast.
