The OUKITEL brand is well known for the rugged or big battery smartphones, often even combining the two categories. Their lineup is extremely diverse and lately they even added some flashy brand new additions like a rugged tablet RT1 or the massive P2001 power station. But of course the main body of work still lies with the rugged "WP" series of phones. Right now new member for this family is just around the corner with the upcoming OUKITEL WP18 model too. And we have some information about its specs.
OUKITEKL WP18 will be clearly positioned as an affordable model in the lineup, way below the ambition of previous WP17. But that could be a blessing for many interested users too, because the pricing will be appropriately adjusted. The phone should be equipped wiith 5.93-inch IPS display with just HD+ resolution, but for entry-level rugged phones that is quite normal. And the good old MT6761 chipset (aka Mediatek Helio A22) paired with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage is still a solid option for many. So are basic 13MP rear and 5MP selfie cameras.
But the phone will start to shine in different fields of expertise. For starters it's a usual waterproof dustproof & shockproof piece with IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G certification. But these rugged qualities are enhanced with the mammoth 12.500 mAh battery capacity. This bad boy will be ready to work for long days before the need for a recharge. The pricing should be extremely affordable and OUKITEL WP18 will be listed on the main website pretty soon.
