Well that's the good thing when you own an AndroidOne device: you get monthly security updates and you're among the first in the world to get the next Android OS. Xiaomi Mi A1 owners must be happy I guess as earlier today, a new OTA update was made available for the device, baring the October 2017 security patch.
According to its change log, this specific update is said to improve security and fix bugs. along with greater stability to the device and optimization for Mi A1’s performance. It's a small update, only 118 MB in size and I think that all Mi A1 owners should already be receiving it. [irp]
Xiaomi Mi A1 will surely be the company's first ever device to get the Oreo update in the coming weeks. Most manufacturers, including Samsung, Lenovo, and Essential, promised an Oreo update to some of their devices.
