POCO F2 Pro launch date revealed, coming very soon

Back in 2018, Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco revolutionized the smartphone market with a true flagship killer dubbed Pocophone F1. The handset cam with that year's most powerful SoC - Snapdragon 845 - along with other powerful specifications. It delivered a powerful package of specs and features at a very affordable price tag. After the Poco F1, the company had an entire year of hiatus, until that this year, Xiaomi decided to revive Poco as a separate brand. The first handset released by the new Poco was the Poco X2, now the big boss is returning as the company is getting ready to unveil the POCO F2 Pro.

According to several leaks that have been popping out lately, the handset won't be a big surprise. Actually it's a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro that launched in China. The company started a promo campaign this week confirming the identity of this handset. Now, a reputable leakster decided to reveal the launch details of the highly anticipated device.

POCO F2 Pro specifications

Considering that the handset is just a K30 Pro rebranding and there aren't surprises coming, we know a lot about its specifications. First of all, we have the Snapdragon 865 SoC leading the show with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of Storage. The specifications are built around a 6.67-inch truly bezel-less display with FHD+ resolution. The big controversial point here is that this display is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. For instance, the Redmi K30, or Poco X2, has a whopping 120Hz display.

The handset also boasts a 64MP AI quad-camera and draws power from a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast-charging. It is cheap for a Snapdragon 865 phone, but not as cheap as the original Pocophone F1. We believe that this handset will generate mixed feelings in the fans of the first handset.
