POCO X4 Pro 5G leaked renders confirm colors and camera design
After many leaks, rumors, and growing anticipation, POCO seems to be ready to deploy its POCO X4 Pro 5G smartphone. The device will be unveiled on February 28 alongside the POCO M4 Pro 4G which has been spotted in multiple leaks recently. The POCO X4 Pro 5G has been expected with much anticipation since the last year. After all, the POCO X3 Pro was a massive hit for POCO. The device brought a flagship-like chipset in the form of Snapdragon 860 to a mid-range price. It certainly had to cut some corners in the camera department and build materials, and the display was an LCD, but it still conquered all customers due to its low price, powerful hardware - It was the true successor to the Pocophone F1 from 2018. Unfortunately, those who have been waiting for anything close to the flagship segment will be disappointed.
The POCO X4 Pro 5G will not excel its predecessor and won't play with the flagship segment. Many have been dreaming about the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 in this handset and, also, many have been waiting for an original device like the POCO X3 was. Unfortunately, all these two demands will become a disappointment. The POCO X4 Pro 5G is a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G. The SD695 isn't a bad chipset, it's based on the 6 nm architecture and has two ARM Cortex-A78 cores. The problem relies on the GPU - Adreno 619 - It may be good for a mid-range department, but loses in all aspects for the Adreno 640 on the Snapdragon 860.
POCO X4 Pro 5G key specifications
We expect mixed reception for the POCO X4 Pro 5G. However, we have to say that, at least POCO is trying to make it look different. Especially, when compared to the original Redmi smartphone. Today, a set of leaked renders confirm the device with a huge camera island, the big POCO logo, and the colorways. One of the variants will bring the iconic POCO Yellow that has been pushed forward by the POCO M-series.
The huge camera block will carry a 108 MP primary camera. There is also an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2 MP macro camera. The handset has a 16 MP selfie snapper inside of a center-aligned punch-hole. The panel has a 6.7-inch diagonal and it's an AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Last but not least, the phone has a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 67 W charging.
