For the past years, Samsung has been adopting a February to March schedule to release its first yearly flagships under the Galaxy S series. However, according to certain rumors, the company will be bringing the new Galaxy S21 family a little earlier than usual. There is a huge amount of leaks pouring out every day regarding the new devices. It's hard to not think that these devices are coming earlier. After all, there are even certification documents emerging. Apparently, the new flagship family will land in January. Today, one of Samsung's most reliable leaksters, IceUniverse, revealed that the Galaxy S21 trio will use a flat and curved screen.
According to the leakster, the Galaxy S21 and S21+ will come with 2D screens. In other words, we won't have curves on the side just a small effect. When it comes to the super high-end Galaxy S21 Ultra, it will keep the curved display that has been traditional in the company's high-end models. Moreover, all devices will have symmetrical bezels. Users will not have to deal with a large chin.
Renders surface on the web
Yesterday, a couple of renders emerged revealing Galaxy S21 series design. Apparently, Samsung is bringing some big changes to its design philosophy with the new devices. The Galaxy S21 seems to be leaving the usual rectangular camera island in favor of a shape that seems to be going to the edge of the handset. The Galaxy S21 Ultra
The leaked renders also showcased the flat display of the upcoming S21. The render shows a traditional display with a 2D effect and symmetrical bezels on all four sides. Just like IceUniverse stated. There's a very small punch-hole on the center top housing the phones' selfie snappers. Interestingly enough, it basically confirms that Samsung is not bringing an in-display selfie camera this time. Maybe for the Galaxy Note 21 series, or S22 series.
The Galaxy S21 is said to come with a 6.2-inch display. The device will have 9mm thickness and that includes the camera bump. The device has 151.7 x 69.1 x 7.9mm bezels.
The S21 Ultra will also follow a similar design language. However, in counterpart to the regular variant. The Ultra comes with a Quad-Camera module on the rear. The device will come with two telephoto lenses to boost distinct zoom levels. The device will be quite thick with 10.8mm.
