Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S21 series much earlier than usual in January 2021. As a result, we're now expecting the upcoming Galaxy S22 smartphones for the very same month which is less than three months away from now. Based on this expectation, it's not a surprise to see the leaks emerging so often for the new handsets. The company will introduce three new smartphones - Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. We already know that the two first devices will be more close to the conventional while the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the hardware king of the lineup. Today, a fresh report suggests that the S22 and S22+ will be simpler than we've been expecting.
We've already seen renders for the upcoming Galaxy S22 series including an image earlier this month showing the device's supposed displays. Today, the reputed tipster IceUniverse is here to corroborate the rumors claiming the two smartphones will come with symmetrical bezels on their flat display as well as flatbacks.
Galaxy S22 Ultra camera specs have been detailed
In addition to the leaked Galaxy S22 and S22+ leak, Ice Universe has shared details about the S22 Ultra camera setup. The specifications behind the camera on the Ultra have been subject to many changes. So for now, we should consider this the most up-to-date report on the device's camera specs.
IceUniverse says that the S22 Ultra will have a 108 MP camera. This is an improved version of the Samsung HM3 camera. It has 1 / 1.33" in size with an f/1.8 aperture. There is also a 12 MP ultrawide camera, a 10 MP telephoto unit with 3x telephoto zoom. The setup is completed by a 10 MP periscope module. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with the biggest display in the lineup and also the biggest battery with a 5,000 mAh capacity.
The device will also be a gamechanger in the S series with an S-Pen slot. In fact, with the S22 Ultra, Samsung will have a good excuse to cancel the Galaxy Note 22 series.
