Galaxy Watch 3 unboxed ahead of August 5 announcement
Samsung is gearing up to reveal a plethora of new devices on August 5 at its Galaxy Unpacked event. The list of incoming devices includes the Galaxy Note 20, 20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 2, new TWS earphones dubbed Galaxy Live Buds, Galaxy Tab S7 devices, and finally the Galaxy Watch 3. We still have some days before the announcement, but this can't hold the Galaxy Watch 3 from leaking. Yesterday we got an interesting hands-one of the device revealing some of its features. Today, another YouTuber is unboxing the unreleased Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung's embargo strategies probably aren't really paying off.
The unboxing video is one of the most elaborate leaks concerning the new smartwatch. More importantly, it reveals the Galaxy Watch 3 on its Bronze Colored variant. The Mystic Bronze colors seem to be the hero color of this event since all Galaxy devices will have this color option in common. Apart from Bronze, the device will also be available in Black Silver color.
The Galaxy Watch 3 unboxed here is the 1mm variant. We also expect Samsung to unveil a 45mm option. The 45mm variant will have a dimension of 45 x 46.2 x 11.1mm. It houses a 1.4-inch display as well as a 340mAh battery. On the other hand, the 41mm edition of the wearable will have 41 x 42.5 x 11.3mm dimensions. It sports a slightly smaller 1.2-inch display. The model draws power from a 247mAh battery.
The new wearable will come with LTE and GPS functionalities. Moreover, you can also expect the whole plethora of health-centric sensors. That includes a heart rate sensor, blood pressure monitoring, and electrocardiogram (ECG). The latter is really interesting, but its availability will certainly vary by region. As we said many times, the ECG reader needs to be approved by every country where the smartwatch lands. The wearable will also have 8GB of native storage while its processing power will be paired with 1GB of RAM. It is MIL-STD-810G rated and has IP68 certification as well as the Gorilla Glass DX protection.
Samsung's new member of the Galaxy Watch series will also come with a wireless magnetic dongle charger. It has a power output of 5W and a USB-A port. Another interesting detail is that the rotation bezels make a comeback with the Watch 3. It was absent on the Watch 2. Stay tuned for more details on the August 5 event. However, we doubt there will be many surprises left for the event.
