Samsung Galaxy A73 5G receives One UI 5.0 update
Samsung started the rollout of Android 13-based One UI 5.0 for its flagships last month. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series was the first, but the other flagships will get it before the end of 2022. We haven't been expecting mid-range phones to get the update at this point, but that is exactly what is happening. The Korean firm is surprising us once again with the update for the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G.
One UI 5.0 reaches the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G with November 2022 security patch
Samsung is among the first brands rolling Android 13 in the mid-range class. A few days back, the company began the rollout of the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. Now it's time for the Galaxy A73 5G to get the same treatment. The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G users in Malaysia are getting the OTA update with the A736BXXU2BVK2 identifier. The One UI 5.0 update brings the latest November security patch to the Galaxy A73 5G. It is expected to hit more countries in the coming weeks. Until the end of this month, we expect all Samsung Galaxy A73 5G units to be running the latest firmware.
To those unaware, the One 5.0 update will introduce a bunch of new features for the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G. For instance, the update brings a new UI interface with better Material You implementation. There is a Color Palette feature to boost customization, stacked widgets, and bigger app icons for notifications. The Settings menu and Quick Settings also got a few tweaks. Moreover, the camera app now brings the OCR feature straight out of the box. In a similar fashion, the Keyboard apps can extract text from images through OCR.
The Korean firm also improved Bixby, Bixby Routines, and Accessibility features. Last but not least, the built-in image and video editors got improvements. Worth noting that this is just the beginning of the road for the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G. The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is still due for three more major updates as Samsung promised to offer at least four major Android updates for this phone and the Galaxy A53 5G.
