Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra certified by NBTC
We're a few days away from finally knowing Samsung's next big thing for 2020. In August 5, the company is set to unveil the Galaxy Note 20 and the larger Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Apparently, the Galaxy Note 20+ was scrapped. Besides the new Note 20 entries, the company might also unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Fold 2 at the very same event. Today, the two members of Galaxy Note 20 have received certification with Thailand's NBTC Authority. The devices carry model numbers SM-N980F/N985F and are both 4G.
The certification, unfortunately, doesn't reveal any important information about Samsung's upcoming flagship devices. However, it does confirm that Samsung will only release two Galaxy Note 20 models. The smaller Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are confirmed. One more reason, to believe, that this year, we won't be seeing a Note 20+. Unfortunately, we're not sure yet of the differences between the two smartphone models. Of course, the Note 20 Ultra should be much more powerful and may come with Samsung's 108MP camera.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will repeat Galaxy S20 Ultra camera's formula
Hopefully, this time around, the issues with this camera sensor will be addresses. The S20 Ultra had several issues with the camera not focusing properly. Samsung tried to fix this issue with several software updates. However, the damage was already done. Let's see if everything is truly fixed with the release of the new phablet.
The company's next big things for 2020 will be revealed on August 5
Samsung will hold an Unpacked event on August 5. There we will know the Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra in all glory. Moreover, we're also to see the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7/S7+, Galaxy Watch3, and new TWS devices dubbed Galaxy Buds Live.
