Samsung has slashed the price of the Galaxy A50 in India by INR1,500 ($22), bringing down the 4GB RAM variant price to INR18,490 ($267). The 6GB RAM variant price was also reduced to INR21,490 ($310). If you've been waiting to purchase the A50, now seems to be the time. The new price is available through Flipkart, Amazon.in, and Samsung's official India site.
If you've been living in a cave and missed the Galaxy A50 launch, we are here to refresh your memory about Samsung's midrange specs. It is powered by the company's in-house Exynos 9610 chipset and runs Android 9 Pie straight out of the box with One UI running atop. Furthermore, it boasts a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED Infinity-U display and is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast-charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 features a triple-camera setup at the back which is composed by a 25MP main sensor + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP depth-sensing camera. On the front, the handset counts with a 25MP selfie snapper. The handset is available in multiple variants with either 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal expandable storage.
Last, but not least, the handset is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery which ensures a full day of intense usage and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy A50 is one of the smartphones generated by Samsung's reboot of its midrange series. The company's move to reduce the price seems to be a way of keeping the handset hot for the Indian customers. With the arrival of new powerful devices from Samsung's main rival in India - Xiaomi, the South-Korean company will need to keep its devices attractive for customers while also making them a good deal for potential customers.
