Vivo X Fold S passes by 3C with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Samsung and Motorola launched new foldable smartphones with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC. That makes most of the foldable smartphones launched earlier this year quite... obsolete. Well, Vivo doesn't want to remain behind for a long time. The company has been quickly working on a response to the new launches. It will introduce the Vivo X Fold S soon with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. That despite the fact that the Vivo X Fold has just a few months of existence. Well, at this point nothing can prevent the new flagship refresh from coming. It already bagged China's 3C certification.

The Vivo X Fold S variant passed China's Compulsory Certification with 80 W fast charging. As per the listing, the phone bears model number V2229A. The listing confirms the device will come with an 80 W dual-C port charging adapter.

Vivo X Fold S alleged specifications

Under the hood, rumors already confirm the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC for the smartphone. The Vivo X Fold S will also pack a large screen with 2K resolution and up to 120 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the phone will come with a 4,700 mAh battery which is a lot for a foldable. The 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging also make it superior to the Z Fold4. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the phone will pack a Quad-Camera Array with a 50 MP camera, 48 MP ultrawide, 12 MP telephoto, and 8 MP periscope shooter. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 16 MP selfie shooter. As per reports, the phone will pack a new bright red colorway with a faux leather finish.

Worth noting that while the Vivo X Fold S keeps leaking, Vivo keeps a low profile. The Chinese brand didn't confirm the device, although we know it's really common. Perhaps, it will launch alongside a new variant for the Vivo X80 Pro series with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
