Back last week, Qualcomm revealed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in all its glory. The new flagship SoC will be present in a multitude of 2023 flagship markets and will dictate the market of premium flagships. While it aims at 2023, we will see the first devices coming pretty soon. The Vivo X90 smartphone series is about to reach the market, and the Vivo X90 Pro+ can pretty much be one of the first phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The device visited Geekbench benchmark a couple of months ago, now it passed by the popular benchmark website yet again.

Vivo X90 Pro+ multi-core performance impresses

The Vivo X90 Pro+ in this benchmark ran sports the V2227A model number. The running score shows that this particular variant has 12 GB of RAM. As per the leaks, we know it's the faster LPDDR5X RAM standard. The phone amassed 1,480 points in the Single Core tests. In the Multi-Core department, it scored a total of 5,160 points.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ multi-core performance is really impressive. Anyway, it will be a standard for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones. It certainly comes due to the new cluster configuration brought by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This year, Qualcomm brings a 1 x Cortex-X3 + 4 x Cortex-A715 + 3 x Cortex-A510 core arrangement. The graphical tasks are ensured by the Adreno 740 and it supports hardware-level ray tracing.

The big Cortex-X3 core has a frequency of 3.2 GHz, the four performance cores have 2.8 GHz, and the energy-efficient cluster has a base frequency of 2.0 GHz. The new SoC offers a 35% increase in speed and is 40% more power efficient.

As per the rumors, the Vivo X90 Pro+ will pack a 6.78-inch curved Samsung E6 AMOLED. It will have a QHD+ resolution with up to 144 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will bring ZEISS optics with the latest Vivo V2 ISP. Moreover, it will have the newest UFS 4.0 standard for storage. The rumors say it will bring a 4,700 mAh battery with up to 120W charging.

We were expecting these phones for December, but recent reports suggest a Q1 2023 release.
