However, even for Xiaomi smartphones the end is inevitable. Today, the company is completely ceasing support and after-sale service for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, Redmi 6 Pro and other devices.

The company is officially announcing the discontinuation of service for these devices. There are seven Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones that will no longer get official maintenance and after-sales service. This has begun on July 1, 2022.

According to the company's statement, there won't be any kind of support for these devices:

  • Mi Max 3
  • Xiaomi Mi 8 Discovery Edition (transparent)
  • Mi 8 screen fingerprint (transparent and non-transparent)
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (5G)
  • Mi Play
  • Redmi S2
  • Redmi 6 Pro

The company states that these products have stopped production. As a result, the manufacturer will no longer supply spare parts for after-sales service. The maintenance materials have exceeded the legal supply period. Therefore, Xiaomi after-sales will not be able to continue to provide you with maintenance and after-sales services. Users can continue to enjoy after-sales service of testing, debugging, cleaning, and maintenance for these Xiaomi smartphones.

Worth noting that most of these 7 models were launched around 2018. Hence, it's hard to believe that are several users with these smartphones on a daily basis.

As per the reports, Xiaomi is already busy with the development of MIUI 14, while users are waiting for MIUI 13.5.
