Mysterious ZTE smartphone is revealed by Wi-Fi certification

It's not a secret anymore that ZTE doesn't have plans for making a new edition of ZTE Axon 7. The company also never disclosed their plans for a successor, instead, all their focus is being given to the recently released, foldable smartphone, Axon M.

Besides this shady scenario for the Chinese company enthusiasts, a new mysterious device has been spotted. This new smartphone, Codenamed as Z2321U, was revealed in a Wi-Fi certification document. Curiously the new handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo, interestingly enough, the most up-to-date Android version that can only be found in Google's Pixels and Nexus.

The certification document itself doesn't show a lot of details. We have the Codename, Android version, and LTE capabilities. Still, there is a chance of this unannounced smartphone be in fact the highly anticipated Axon 8 (That if the company decides to continue the Axon's line).

Z2321 still has a long road ahead, TENAA, The FCC, and Bluetooth SIG certifications are yet to appear, only then we'll have a more consistent thing to look into. By the way, stay tuned for more news about this upcoming smartphone in the coming days, or months, depending from ZTE's plans and schedule.
